Canceled 6/26/25 8:45 PM Flood Advisory issued June 26 at 5:43PM EDT until June 26 at 8:45PM EDT by NWS Blacksburg VA * WHAT... Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE... A portion of southwest Virginia, including the following counties and independent city, City of Radford, Giles, Montgomery and Pulaski. * WHEN... Until 845 PM EDT. * IMPACTS... Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent, especially in and around the City of Radford. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 543 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Little River, Dry Branch, Connellys Run, Meadow Creek, New River, Little Walker Creek, Back Creek and Crab Creek. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Radford... Fairlawn... Walton... Parrott... Mc Coy... Eggleston...
