At 1033 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 7 miles west of North Carolina Zoo to near Ansonville. Movement was east at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Asheboro, Albemarle, Troy, Badin Lake, North Carolina Zoo, Biscoe, Ansonville, Seagrove, Norwood, and Badin.
This includes Interstate 73 between Mile Markers 41 and 71.
