Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...
Portions of northwest North Carolina, including the following counties, Ashe and Wilkes and southwest Virginia, including the following county, Grayson.

* WHEN...
Until 715 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas. River or stream flows are elevated.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 240 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2.5 and 5 inches of rain have fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Helton Creek, Call Creek, Fall Creek, Darnell Creek, Dog Creek, Grassy Creek, Big Horse Creek, Big Laurel Creek, Beaver Creek and Clear Branch.
Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
