Southeastern McDowell County in southern West Virginia...

* Until 1115 PM EDT.

* At 818 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms had produced heavy rain across the warned area for the second consecutive evening. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen this evening. Additional showers and thunderstorms could bring another 0.5 to 1 inch of rainfall in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
