Relative humidities dropping to 20 to 30 percent, combined with west winds of 10 to 25 mph, with gusts to 30 to 45 mph, and warming temperatures will increase the risk for the spread of wildfires today.
Everyone is urged to exercise caution handling any potential ignition sources. These includes machinery, cigarettes, and ash piles from wood stoves. Any dry grasses and tree litter that ignite will have the potential to spread quickly. Please refer to your local burn permitting authorities whether you may burn outdoors.
