Areas of fog will develop early this morning across Piedmont sections of the western Carolinas and northeast Georgia, from Elberton to Laurens to Rock Hill to Monroe. The fog may become locally dense and reduce visibility to less than one-quarter of a mile at times.
Visibility may be quite variable this morning and could change sharply over short distances. Allow extra travel time this morning, use low beam headlights and fog lamps if you encounter fog, and allow extra stopping distance between vehicles. The fog should improve or dissipate by 9 to 10 am.
