Canceled 6/9/21 9:06 PM Flood Advisory issued June 9 at 8:38PM EDT until June 9 at 10:15PM EDT by NWS Blacksburg VA At 838 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated the heaviest rain showers and thunderstorms have weakened to a broad area of light to moderate rain over the advisory area. While less likely initially to prompt minor flooding, any areas with poor drainage that receive a lengthy period of moderate rain could experience minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Lynchburg, Forest, Rustburg, Big Island, Concord, Boonsboro and Madison Heights. This includes the following streams and drainages... Buffalo Creek, Buck Branch, Burton Creek, Abbott Branch, Bear Creek, Blackwater Creek, Big Otter River, Bear Branch and Blackfoot Creek.  |
