Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

Portions of western Maryland, including the following areas, Eastern Garrett, Extreme Western Allegany and Western Garrett and eastern West Virginia, including the following areas, Eastern Grant, Eastern Mineral, Western Grant and Western Mineral.

* WHEN...
From noon EDT today through this evening.

* IMPACTS...
Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Low-water crossings may be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Showers and thunderstorms will develop and move across the area this afternoon to evening. Thunderstorms will be capable of producing very heavy rainfall, with amounts of 1 to 2 inches in 30 minutes possible. Widespread totals around 1 inch are forecast, with up to 2 to 3 inches of rain possible under the strongest storms. This could lead to scattered instances of flash flooding.
