Fog will become widespread across the western Carolinas and northeast Georgia through the overnight hours and possibly well into Tuesday morning. Some locations will see dense fog, with visibility falling to one-quarter mile or less at times. A dense fog advisory could be needed for some locations where the dense fog will become more widespread and persistent.
Use caution if driving. Allow extra time to reach your destination and allow greater stopping distance. Use your low beam headlights and fog lamps if you encounter dense fog.
