Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

Portions of central, south central, and west central Virginia, including the following counties, in central Virginia, Campbell. In south central Virginia, Bedford, Henry and Pittsylvania. In west central Virginia, Franklin.

* WHEN...
Until 645 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 345 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Big Otter River, Big Chestnut Creek, Beaver Creek and Back Creek.
Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
