Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...
A portion of southwest Virginia, including the following counties, Carroll, Floyd, Montgomery, Patrick and Pulaski.

* WHEN...
Until 1045 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways. Some low-water crossings may become impassable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 727 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain with a few thunderstorms. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Big Macks Creek, Anglin Branch, Ararat River, Beaverdam Creek, Beaver Creek, Big Indian Creek, Archies Creek and Big Reed Island Creek.
Additional rainfall amounts of 1.5 to 3 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
