A portion of north central North Carolina, including the following county, Surry. * WHEN... Until 1130 AM EDT. * IMPACTS... Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 946 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 4 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Caddle Creek, Bull Creek, Big Creek, Cody Creek, Beaver Creek, Ararat River, Chinquapin Creek and Cooks Creek. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Mount Airy... Fairview...
