Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

A portion of northwest North Carolina, including the following counties, Wilkes and Yadkin.

* WHEN...
Until 330 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1203 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated that heavy rain from thunderstorms earlier this evening has exited the advisory area, leaving only steady light to occasionally moderate rainfall. However, between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain fell between 9 pm and 11 pm. Runoff from this rainfall continues to collect within local creeks and streams, holding them at or slightly above bankfull water levels. Localized minor flooding is expected to persist over the next few hours.
