RRA * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...
Portions of North Carolina and southwest Virginia, including the following counties, in North Carolina, Alleghany NC and Surry. In southwest Virginia, Grayson and Wythe.

* WHEN...
Until 230 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Some low-water crossings may become impassable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1204 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Big Pine Creek, Cripple Creek, Beaver Creek, Chestnut Creek, Christian Creek, Brush Creek, Cranberry Creek, Cody Creek, Camp Creek, Cold Run, Arnold Branch and Bull Run.
Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
