At 716 PM EST, an area of light to moderate lake effect snow showers was impacting parts of eastern Erie County, northeastern Huron County, Lorain County, northeastern Ashland County, Medina County, Wayne County, Summit County, Stark County, Portage County, southern Trumbull County and Mahoning County.
HAZARDS INCLUDE...
Winds up to 30 mph causing some blowing and drifting snow...
Visibility dropping as low as one-half of a mile...
Additional snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches through midnight...
Locations impacted include...
Akron, Canton, Youngstown, Lorain, Elyria, Warren, Medina, Wooster, Sandusky, Norwalk, Salem, Ravenna, Western Vermilion, Vermilion, Columbiana, Cuyahoga Falls, Boardman, Brunswick, Massillon, and North Ridgeville.
Light snow accumulations on area roadways are likely this evening, with untreated surfaces becoming slick and icy. Motorists should be prepared for slick and snowy road conditions this evening and allow extra time to reach their destination if they must travel.
