Special Weather Statement issued June 14 at 10:25PM EDT by NWS Blacksburg VA
At 1015 PM EDT, radar indicated showers and thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 8 miles east of Richwood to near Oak Hill. Movement was east at 45 mph. The thunderstorms have been weakening, but still expect a gust front to advance ahead of the line of showers, which will cause a period of elevated wind speeds.
Winds of 30 to 40 mph are possible between now and Midnight.
