Patchy dense fog has developed across the Upstate of South Carolina and in the Piedmont and Foothills of western North Carolina this morning. The fog will likely linger through the early morning hours before dissipating by 9 am. If driving, be prepared for sudden reductions in visibility. Slow down, use low- beam headlights, and leave extra space between vehicles.
