At 129 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 14 miles north of Shelby, or near Casar, moving south at 20 mph.
Locations to be impacted include...
Shelby, Boiling Springs NC, Belwood, Lawndale, Patterson Springs, Fallston, Polkville, Ellenboro, Lattimore and Mooresboro.
Wind gusts up to 40 mph and very heavy rainfall rates up to one inch per hour will be possible in these areas.
