At 114 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms over western and northern Person County, the strongest near Alton, or 7 miles northwest of Roxboro, moving north at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts in excess of 30 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.
Locations impacted include...
Roxboro, Concord, Bethel Hill, Bushy Fork, Hyco Lake, Moriah, Mayo Reservoir, Hyco Marina, and Surl.
