Southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected.

* WHERE...
Central Virginia Blue Ridge and Northern Virginia Blue Ridge.

* WHEN...
Until 2 AM EDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...
Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
In addition to these strong southerly winds, thunderstorms will increase in coverage through the afternoon and evening, some of which may require Severe Thunderstorm Warnings.
An abrupt wind shift to westerly winds occurs late this evening in response to a strong cold front.
