At 132 AM EST, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 6 miles west of Mount Hope to near Mullens to near Tiptop. Movement was east at 45 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Beckley, Rainelle, Babcock State Park, Oak Hill, Mullens, Mount Hope, Mabscott, Sophia, Gary, Northfork, Crab Orchard, Dry Creek, Macarthur, Bradley, Shady Spring, Beaver, Piney View, Stanaford, Coal City, and Prosperity.
This includes the following highways...
West Virginia Turnpike between mile markers 28 and 62.
Interstate 64 in West Virginia between mile markers 120 and 137.
Route 19 between mile markers 1 and 13.
