Snow above 3500 feet. Total snow accumulations between 2 and 4 inches. Locally higher amounts possible. Winds gusting as high as 55 mph.

Madison, Mitchell, and Yancey Counties.

* WHEN...
Until 10 AM EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...
The heavy snow will create snow covered roads and produce scattered power outages. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday morning commute. Strong winds will likely cause damage to trees and power lines.
