At 1258 AM EST, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Van to 8 miles south of Gilbert Creek.
Movement was east at 50 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Madison, Welch, Pineville, Mullens, Oceana, Gary, War, Man, Northfork, Van, Gilbert Creek, Mallory, Hanover, R.d. Bailey Lake, Bald Knob, Amherstdale-Robinette, Twin Falls State Park, Wharton, Powellton, and Whitesville.
This includes the following highways...
West Virginia Turnpike between mile markers 59 and 65.
Route 119 near mile marker 47.
