Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...
Portions of Virginia, including the following counties and independent cities, Alleghany VA, Amherst, Appomattox, Bath, Bedford, Botetourt, Campbell, City of Buena Vista, City of Covington, City of Lexington, City of Lynchburg, Craig and Rockbridge and southeast West Virginia, including the following county, Greenbrier.

* WHEN...
Until 815 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 447 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated scattered to numerous slow moving showers and thunderstorms across the area.
Torrential downpours were occurring and will likely produce minor flooding. There have been reports of flooding near Lynchburg.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
