* WHAT...
Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...
A portion of piedmont North Carolina, including the following counties, Cabarrus and Rowan.

* WHEN...
Until 500 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 152 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of up to an inch are possible over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Kannapolis, Downtown Concord, Northeast Charlotte, West Concord, China Grove, Landis, Enochville, Coddle Creek Reservoir, Mount Ulla and Piedmont Research Station.
