For the Tug Fork River...Major flooding is forecast.

Major flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. This approaches the flood of record.

* WHERE...
Tug Fork River at Litwar.

* WHEN...
Until late this morning.

* IMPACTS...
At 27.0 feet, most of County Route 1 floods and several secondary roads along the river flood. Some homes along the river from Iaeger to Panther flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 3:40 AM EST Sunday the stage was 28.6 feet.
- Recent Activity...The river crested at 11:15 PM EST Saturday at a record 30.97 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage later this morning, and then continue falling.
- Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest exceeded the previous record crest of 27.4 feet on 04/04/1977.
