Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE... Portions of Maryland, including the following areas, Anne Arundel, Calvert, Cecil, Charles, Prince Georges and St. Marys and Virginia, including the following areas, Albemarle, King George, Nelson, Orange, Spotsylvania and Stafford. * WHEN... Until midnight EDT tonight. * IMPACTS... Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Showers and thunderstorms producing heavy rainfall continue to move across the area through this evening. Rainfall rates up to 2 to 3 inches per hour are likely, that could lead to scattered instances of flash flooding.
