Flooding caused by excessive rainfall and snowmelt continues to be possible. * WHERE... Portions of central, northeast, northern, and southeast West Virginia, including the following counties, in central West Virginia, Taylor. In northeast West Virginia, Northwest Pocahontas, Northwest Randolph, Northwest Webster, Southeast Pocahontas, Southeast Randolph and Southeast Webster. In northern West Virginia, Barbour and Upshur. In southeast West Virginia, Northwest Nicholas, Southeast Fayette, Southeast Nicholas and Southeast Raleigh. * WHEN... From late Thursday night through Friday afternoon. If excessive rainfall and snowmelt are realized, river flooding concerns could continue Friday night through Saturday night and require additional watches or warnings. * IMPACTS... Excessive runoff combined with snowmelt may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Heavy rainfall on top of residual snowpack will lead to increased runoff concerns. 1 to 1.5 inches of rain is expected across the watch area early Friday morning through Friday afternoon.
