The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has issued the following...
WHAT...Air Quality Health Advisory for Multiple Pollutants.
WHERE...Teller, El Paso, Fremont and Pueblo Counties. Locations include, but are not limited to Woodland Park, Colorado Springs, Monument, Canon City and Pueblo.
WHEN...800 AM Thursday July 25 to 1200 AM Friday July 26 IMPACTS...Heavy smoke will result in elevated concentrations of both ozone and particle pollution through Thursday evening. Air quality is expected to improve significantly overnight Thursday into Friday.
HEALTH INFORMATION...Public Health Recommendations: If smoke is thick or becomes thick in your neighborhood you may want to remain indoors. People with heart disease, respiratory illnesses, the very young, and older adults should avoid prolonged or heavy exertion and limit time outdoors. Everyone else should reduce prolonged or heavy exertion and take more breaks while outside.
Consider relocating temporarily if smoke is present indoors and is making you ill. If visibility is less than 5 miles in smoke in your neighborhood, smoke has reached levels that are unhealthy.
