At 406 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking clusters of strong thunderstorms extending from near Lexington to near Mt Pleasant to near Marvin. Movement was east at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
High Point, Asheboro, Lexington, Albemarle, Wadesboro, Randleman, Troy, Badin Lake, North Carolina Zoo, and Ansonville.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 85 between Mile Markers 92 and 99, and between Mile Markers 104 and 108.
Interstate 73 between Mile Markers 58 and 90.
Interstate 74 between Mile Markers 77 and 79.
