Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

Portions of central and south central Virginia, including the following counties, in central Virginia, Amelia and Prince Edward. In south central Virginia, Lunenburg and Nottoway.

* WHEN...
Until 745 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 446 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Crewe, Burkeville, Green Bay, Jetersville, Burkes Tavern, Oliveville, Moran, Twin Lakes State Park, Prince Edward Lake, Prince Edward Station, Jennings Ordinary and Scholfield.
