Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.

* WHERE...
A portion of eastern North Carolina, including the following areas, Beaufort, Greene, Mainland Dare, Mainland Hyde, Martin, Northern Outer Banks, Pitt, Tyrrell and Washington.

* WHEN...
Until midnight EDT tonight.

* IMPACTS...
Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Scattered to numerous thunderstorms are expected to develop through late this evening. Rainfall rates of one to two inches per hour are expected, with rainfall totals of 2-4" possible. Higher amounts of 3-5" will be possible for some locations.
