At 846 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located 7 miles west of Gassaway, or 10 miles west of Sutton, moving east at 30 mph.
Winds in excess of 40 mph and penny size hail are possible with this storm.
Locations impacted include...
Sutton, Gassaway, Birch River, Boggs, Little Birch, Frametown, Wilsie, Servia, Centralia and Rosedale.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 79 between mile markers 45 and 67.
Route 19 between mile markers 58 and 68.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
