Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.

* WHERE...
A portion of eastern North Carolina, including the following areas, Beaufort, Greene, Jones, Lenoir, Mainland Dare, Mainland Hyde, Martin, Northern Craven, Northern Outer Banks, Pamlico, Pitt, Southern Craven, Tyrrell and Washington.

* WHEN...
Until midnight EDT tonight.

* IMPACTS...
Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Additional rounds of thunderstorms are expected to occur through this evening, with rainfall falling on already saturated soils. In some cases, soils are abnormally saturated for this time of year, which will heighten the flood risk. Rainfall of 2 to 4 inches is expected where thunderstorms develop, with amounts as high as 4 to 6 inches possible.
