Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

Portions of north central North Carolina, including the following counties, Caswell and Rockingham and south central Virginia, including the following counties and independent city, Charlotte, City of Danville, Halifax and Pittsylvania.

* WHEN...
Until 1100 AM EST.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Overflowing poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 753 AM EST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
- Rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area.
This rain may fall in less than 45 minutes, resulting in rapid runoff and flooding of roadside ditches, and poor drainage areas.
