Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...
Portions of southwest Virginia, including the following counties, Bland, Giles, Smyth and Tazewell and southeast West Virginia, including the following county, Mercer.

* WHEN...
Until 915 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 602 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Beaver Branch, Bolars Fork, Adair Run, Blue Spring Creek, Blacklick Creek and Big Spring Branch.
Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
