Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

Portions of southwest Virginia, including the following counties, Bland, Giles, Smyth, Tazewell and Wythe and southeast West Virginia, including the following counties, Greenbrier, Mercer, Monroe and Summers.

* WHEN...
Until 630 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 330 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen since 1am. The ground is saturated from earlier rains, so expect flooding in poor drainage areas, as well as in urban areas.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Beech Run, Big Branch, Adair Run, Beaver Creek, Big Clear Creek, Blacklick Creek, Big Spring Branch, Blue Lick Creek, Beaver Branch, Back Creek, Big Creek and Beech Fork.
Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
