* At 425 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Downtown Asheville, Waynesville, Marshall, East Asheville, Arden, West Asheville, North Asheville, Black Mountain, Mills River, Woodfin, Fletcher, Swannanoa, Canton, Lake Junaluska, Weaverville, Fairview In Buncombe County, Mars Hill, Biltmore Forest, Bent Creek and Clyde.
Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
