Rain will change to snow overnight across southwest Virginia, northwest North Carolina, and southeast West Virginia. Snow will continue through the morning on Wednesday before tapering off by the afternoon. Snow amounts by Wednesday morning will be up to 2 inches, with the higher amounts at the higher elevations.
In addition, the wind will be gusty Wednesday morning at 15 to 25 mph. This will produce wind chill values in the teens and 20s.
Slow down and use caution while traveling. Plan on slippery road conditions for the morning commute.
