Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...
Portions of north central North Carolina, including the following counties, Stokes and Surry and southwest Virginia, including the following counties, Carroll and Patrick.

* WHEN...
Until 100 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways. Some low-water crossings may become impassable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 953 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Anglin Branch and Ararat River.
Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
