Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...
Portions of piedmont North Carolina, including the following counties, Gaston and Mecklenburg and upstate South Carolina, including the following county, York.

* WHEN...
Until 1030 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Some low-water crossings may become impassable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 724 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

Rock Hill, Uptown Charlotte, Central Charlotte, South Charlotte, Southwest Charlotte, East Charlotte, Northeast Charlotte, Northwest Charlotte, Matthews, Mint Hill, Belmont, Pineville, Harrisburg, Tega Cay, Clover, Newport, Charlotte Douglas Airport, Carowinds, Steele Creek and Freedom Park.
