At 1147 PM EDT, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located 11 miles southeast of Holly River State Park, or 15 miles northeast of Webster Springs, moving east at 25 mph.
Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail are possible with this storm.
Locations impacted include...
Cass Scenic Railroad, Webster Springs, Addison (Webster Springs), Mill Creek, Holly River State Park, Snowshoe, Mingo, Huttonsville, Diana, Monterville, Slaty Fork, Helvetia, Pickens, Waneta, Hacker Valley, Valley Head and Bergoo.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause elevated levels on small creeks and streams, and ponding of water on country roads and farmland along the banks of creeks and streams.
