Canceled 6/26/25 7:42 PM Flood Advisory issued June 26 at 5:36PM EDT until June 26 at 7:45PM EDT by NWS Blacksburg VA * WHAT... Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE... A portion of southwest Virginia, including the following counties and independent city, Carroll, City of Galax, Grayson and Wythe. * WHEN... Until 745 PM EDT. * IMPACTS... Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 536 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated the heavy rain producing thunderstorms that prompted the advisory have dissipated. However, runoff from this earlier heavy rain still has the potential to collect in streams and other low- lying areas. Minor flooding is still ongoing or expected in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Beaver Creek, Glady Fork, Brush Creek, Cripple Creek, Dean Branch, East Fork Crooked Creek, Bull Run, Chestnut Creek, Elk Creek, Dixon Branch and Crooked Creek. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
