At 247 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a thunderstorm with torrential rainfall 4 miles west of Lenoir, or near Gamewell, moving east at 15 mph.
Locations to be impacted include...
Lenoir, Sawmills, Granite Falls, Gamewell, Hudson, Cajah's Mountain, Cedar Rock, Kings Creek, Collettsville and Patterson.
Wind gusts up to 40 mph and very heavy rainfall rates up to 2 inches per hour will be possible in these areas.
