Snow and ice that melts on area roads today will quickly refreeze this evening, creating a renewed risk of icy and snow-packed roads through Friday morning. While travel may improve some during the daylight hours, conditions will quickly deteriorate after sunset.
For shaded areas along roadways, sudden changes in road conditions can be expected, even during the daylight hours.
Motorists are advised to use extra caution. Allow ample distance between yourself and other vehicles, to avoid the risk of a collision where slippery conditions are encountered. Allow extra time to reach your destination safely.
