Areas of fog have developed across the North Carolina mountains this morning and the fog may be dense at times in the river valleys through 9 am EDT. The visibility may be reduced locally to one-quarter mile or less at times. Use caution if you must travel in these areas this morning and allow extra time to reach your destination. Use low beam headlights and fog lamps if you encounter fog, and allow extra stopping distance between vehicles.
