Heavy snowfall has ended across the area, therefore the Winter Storm Warning will be allowed to expire at 1 AM this morning. A few lingering snow showers will stream through the area over the next several hours, but are not expected to produce anything more than light accumulations. Travel will still remain hazardous overnight as temperatures plummet down into the teens by daybreak, leading to slick roads.
