For the Extreme Cold Warning, dangerously cold wind chills as low as 10 below in the valleys, and 20 below on the ridges. For the High Wind Warning, northwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts of 50 to 60 mph.

* WHERE...
Portions of north-central and western Maryland, northwest and western Virginia, and eastern West Virginia.

* WHEN...
For the Extreme Cold Warning, until 10 AM EST Sunday. For the High Wind Warning, until 7 PM EST this evening.

* IMPACTS...
Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.
Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. The cold wind chills could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
Wind chills are expected to remain below zero through late Sunday morning. Being outdoors for a prolonged period of time will be life-threatening.
