* At 305 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across central Pittsylvania county especially around Keeling, Dry Fork, and Chatham. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen during the past hour and additional heavy rainfall is expected during the next hour. Flash flooding is imminent! HAZARD...

IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage and low lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Danville, Chatham, Gretna, Blairs, Callands, Mt Airy and Dry Fork.
This includes the following streams and drainages...
Banister River and Allen Creek.
Additional rainfall amounts of 1.5 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area.
