Wintry precipitation that fell on Wednesday and Wednesday night has ended but hazardous traveling conditions persist.
Scattered snow showers are expected to develop this morning into the midday hours. While much of the snow will be very light, a few locations could experience a fresh coating of new snow, especially near and west of Greensboro, Asheboro, and Rockingham.

Much of the western Piedmont of NC including the Triad and the Sandhills.

* WHEN...
Until 1 PM EST this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...
Slippery road conditions are expected. Bridges and shaded areas are most at risk to maintain snow and ice cover. Be alert and prepared for rapidly changing road conditions.
